Swedish built X-2000 tilt train set was first entered
service on China Railway network on 28 August 1998 and served on the most
profitable railway line in China- Guangshen Line (Guangzhou - Shenzhen
(- Hong Kong)). Since this is the first commercial service in China that
reaches 200km/h as it is therefore named Xinshisu (The New Speed).
X-2000 completed a 139km journey in 55 minutes compare to quasi-high speed
loco hauled service's 65 minutes. It has a capacity of 416 seats and a
top speed of 200km/h on Guangshen Line.
