DDJ1, the first electric push-pull unit developed by
China which achieve a top speed of 200km/h. The power car was built by
Zhuzhou Works and coaches were from major rolling stock manufacturers
around China. It entered commercial service in October 1, 1999 (coincided
with the 50th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic). Another
2 sets will arrive Guangshen line around October 2000.
