Qishuyan Locomotive Work
developed two DF 9 between 1990 and 1991 with numbers 0001 and 0002. They
aim at developing high speed railway in China and were tested in Guangshen
Line. Soon the designs of DF 9 was modified and DF11 was developed. Now
these two locomotives belong to Guangzhou East Depot and is in commericial
run between Guangzhou-Shenzhen Line and Guangzhou-Kowloon Through Trains.
Because there are only two DF 9 in China, they are very rare in China.
