Relaying the Tracks and Smoothing the Road-bed (09/06/2003)

 

 

Place: Between Tin Shui and Tin Wa

Earthing the contact wire to ensure safety.
Lifting up the old tracks, removing the ballast and smoothing the road-bed.
Use ethyne-oxygen flame (temperature 1350 degree Celcius) to cut the rail.
A diamond point was placed on the ground for welding. It would be moved to the road bed very soon.
